These terms and conditions together with the website terms and conditions(the "Terms") are the terms on which Sky provides You with the opportunity to purchase Tickets through the Sky Tickets service. Please read these Terms carefully before using Sky Tickets or ordering any Tickets.
By using the Sky Site and making a purchase through Sky Tickets you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You should print a copy of these Terms or save them to your computer for future reference. The Terms are only available in English.
You must keep safe and not permit others to use Your login details, as set out in clause 2 below. You are responsible for all activities that occur under Your login details.
We amend these Terms from time to time as set out in clause 24 below. Every time you order Tickets and we accept your order a new contract will be formed so please check these Terms to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at that time.
In these Terms:
“Event” means the sports event to be held at a Venue in respect of which We have the right to sell You Tickets.
"Order Confirmation" means the email from Us confirming your order for Tickets has been accepted and displaying your unique Transaction ID applicable to your purchase.
“Promoter” means the person firm or company organising or staging the Event and the Venue and from whom We source Tickets to sell to You on their behalf.
"Sky Site" or "our site" means our website located at http://tickets.sky.com
"Sky Tickets" is the online service provided by Sky to give people the opportunity to purchase Tickets for Events from Promoters or the Venue (as applicable) through the Sky Site.
“Tickets” means tickets or other types of evidence (including electronic tickets) for an event sold by Us to You on behalf of the organisation responsible for the Event for the right to occupy space at or to attend an Event.
“Venue” means any facilities or locations of any nature where the Event is being held.
“We” or "Sky" means Sky UK Limited. “Us” and “Our” shall be read accordingly.
“You” means You or anybody who in Our reasonable opinion is acting with Your authority or permission. “Your” shall be read accordingly.
We are Sky UK Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with the company number 2906991 and whose registered office is at Grant Way, Isleworth, Middlesex, TW7 5QD. Our VAT number is 440 6274 67.
We provide the Sky Tickets service with the help of The Ticket Factory, a trading division of The National Exhibition Centre Ltd.
MAKING YOUR PURCHASE
We act as a disclosed agent for Promoters and Tickets are issued on behalf of the organisation staging the Event as identified on the face of the Ticket (all as defined below). What this means is that the contract for the purchase of the Ticket is between You and the Promoters.
All Tickets are issued subject to availability and subject to these Terms.
The Terms should be read in conjunction with the Venue, Promoter and/or Event terms, conditions and regulations, which will apply in addition to these Term's. Copies of such terms are available upon request from the Venue and/or Promoter (as applicable). Please check the Venue, Promoter and/or Event websites for the terms and conditions applicable to the Event.
In the event of any inconsistency between the terms in relation to Venue or Promoter requirements, those of the Promoter shall prevail. If no Promoter, those of the Venue shall prevail.
You are responsible for making people for whom you purchase Tickets aware of the relevant parts of these Terms.
2. Register with us for an account
When registering for an account with Us, You must: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as requested by the registration form; and (b) maintain and properly update such information to keep it true, accurate and complete. You can amend your registration data at any time via the My Account page.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details (including your email address and password) and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under Your login details. Your account is for Your own use only. You may not permit others to use Your passwords. You agree to (a) immediately notify Us of any unauthorised use of Your password or account or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session.
3. The order process
For the steps you need to take to place an order for Tickets on the Sky Site, please see How do I buy Tickets section in the FAQs
When we place Tickets on the Sky Site, We are inviting You to make an offer for their purchase. You do not make this offer until you press "Buy Now" on the payment page. Don't worry if You have made any mistakes in inputting Your details as We will give You the opportunity to correct any errors before you press "Buy Now".
Once you have pressed "Buy Now" you have made Us an offer to purchase the Tickets from the Promoters for whom we are acting as agent. After you place an offer, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that We have received your payment. However, we only accept your offer when we send You a confirmation e-mail with details of the Tickets you have purchased, your Transaction ID and the delivery option you have chosen. At that point the contract is formed for the purchase of the Tickets. If you have not received an email from Us within 24 hours of your purchase, please Contact Us.
If you've registered for an account with Sky Tickets, you can sign in into your account where you will be able to see details of all purchases You have made under the "My Orders" tab on the My Account page.
It is Your responsibility to inform Us of any change to the contact address, telephone number or email address You provide Us with at the time of ordering.
We've tried to make it as easy as possible to find and buy tickets to the Events You love. Simply follow the instructions below:
- Choose the Event that You want to attend and click the 'Book now' button.
- Select the type and number of Tickets that You'd like to buy using the drop down menu. In some cases we'll need to limit the number of Tickets that can be purchased in a single order due to high demand - this limit will be visible before You book Your tickets.
- You'll need to select a delivery option to continue. Delivery options and charges vary depending on the Event but may include delivery by post, e-tickets or the option to collect Your tickets at the Venue.
- To continue with Your purchase, You need to select one of three options :
- Sign up and continue. If You select this option, You'll need to create an account by giving us a few details, including Your name, email address and billing and shipping information, and creatng a password.
- Sign in. If You've previously bought tickets and created an account with Sky Tickets, select this option to sign in to Your account and checkout quickly and securely.
- Continue as a guest. If You choose to checkout as a guest, You can continue Your purchase without creating an account. You'll need to give us Your name, email address and billing and shipping information to proceed.
- Once You've entered Your details or signed in to Your account, You'll see an order summary page. You'll need to review Your order and correct any mistakes before You proceed.
- The final step is to enter Your payment information. Once You've given us Your card details, click the 'Buy now' button to complete Your purchase.
- We'll charge the payment to Your card and take You to a booking confirmation page. We'll also send You payment confirmation and booking confirmation emails to the email address You provided. This will include information about the Event and Tickets thatYou've bought, plus Your payment method. The email will also include Your transaction ID – You'll need to give us this reference number if You contact us about Your order.
- Your order is now complete. If You've created an account or used an existing account, please make sure You select the sign out option if You're leaving the Sky Tickets website. This helps us keep Your details secure.
The price of the Ticket shall be the price set at the time We accept Your order. The price of the Ticket includes VAT and any administration fees (where applicable).
The price of the Ticketsdoes not include delivery charges. Our delivery options and charges will depend on the Event. Please check the ticket selection page for details of the delivery options and charges applicable to an Event.
The total Price of the Ticket is the price You pay for the Ticket at the end of the transaction.
- The ticket price: this is the face value price of Your Ticket as printed on Your Ticket. This price is set by the Promoter before the addition of any per ticket fees, per order fees or any other extra costs. The face value of the Ticket is charged and retained by the Promoter or Venue; and
- The admin fee: this is the per-ticket fee agreed with the Promoter or Venue. This fee is charged by and retained by Us.
We use Our best efforts to ensure that the prices of Tickets are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the system. It is always possible that, despite Our best efforts, some of the Tickets on Our site may be incorrectly priced. If We discover an error in the price or availability of the Tickets You have ordered We will contact You to inform You of this error and (where possible) We will give You the option of continuing to purchase the Ticket at the correct price or cancelling Your order. We will not process Your order until We have Your instructions. If We are unable to contact You using the contact details You provided during the order process, We will treat the order as cancelled and notify You in writing.
You can only pay for Tickets using a debit or credit card. We accept all major cards including: Visa, Maestro, MasterCard and American Express. Payment for all Tickets and all applicable delivery charges is in advance.
No order will be accepted until We have received full payment.
Sky Tickets is a secure site. We use Barclaycard SmartPay to manage payments. To view further details click here
Delivery options vary depending on the Event. The delivery option's will appear on the ticket selection page, and may include:
- Delivery by post, either Royal Mail or Special Courier;
- E-tickets; or
- Collection at the Venue box office.
Where there is not enough time to deliver Tickets, You will be told at the point of purchase the arrangements for collection of Your Tickets.
Where the event for which you have bought Tickets will be taking place more than 30 days after the date of Your Order Confirmation, tickets may be delivered through one of the delivery methods below more than 30 days after You receive Your Order Confirmation from Us.
Delivery by Post: Where the Tickets are being delivered by post, the Tickets will only be delivered to the billing address of the debit/credit card holder unless We specifically offer You the facility for Tickets to be sent to an alternative address. We only deliver by post to UK addresses. We aim to dispatch Your Tickets as soon as possible. We are not able to specify the exact date of dispatch. Please allow as much time as possible for Your Tickets to arrive. If Tickets dispatched by Royal Mail ordinary post, special delivery or registered post are returned to Us as “addressee unknown” We reserve the right to cancel Your booking and make a refund of the Ticket price only.
Venue box office: You will be notified by email or in writing of the arrangements for collection (using the details provided at the time of ordering) at the Venue.
- a print out of your Booking Confirmation;
- the credit/debit card used to make payment; and
- a valid photographic ID, such as a photo driving licence or passport.
If you have not received your collection instructions from Us forty eight (48) hours prior to the Event, please contact Us straight away quoting Your Transaction ID, name and postcode. Some Events may have special collection instructions so please read the email that We send you with the collection instructions carefully for additional guidance.
E-Tickets: These will be sent to the email address that you provided when buying your Tickets.
To be able to enter the Event on the day, You will need to bring:
- a print out of Your E-Ticket;
- the credit/debit card used to make payment; and
- a valid photographic ID, such as a photo driving licence or passport.
Some Events may have special instructions for using E-Tickets so make sure you check the instructions on the E-Ticket and Booking Confirmation carefully. Each E-Ticket has a unique barcode which can only be scanned on entry to the Venue once.
NOTE: All Tickets are often sent very close to the date of the Event. However, if Your Tickets are not being held at the Venue box office, and You have not received Your Tickets from Us forty eight (48) hours prior to the Event, please contact Us quoting Your Transaction ID, name and postcode.
A valid Ticket must be produced to get into an Event. Removing any part of, altering or defacing the Ticket may invalidate Your Ticket.
It is Your responsibility to check Your Tickets as if You have made a mistake it cannot always be rectified after You have made a purchase. Please therefore check Your Tickets on receipt carefully and Contact Us immediately if there is a mistake.
We will not be responsible for any Ticket that is lost, stolen or destroyed after You have received it. It is not always possible to issue duplicate tickets. For example for non-seated Events where there is a possibility of both the original and duplicate Tickets being used, compromising the licensed capacity of the Venue.
Duplicates may therefore be issued at the discretion of the Promoter or the Venue, acting reasonably. If duplicates are being issued, a reasonable administration charge may be levied. We and the Promoter reserve the right to provide alternative seats at an Event to those specified on the Ticket if the staging of the Event reasonably requires, provided they are of no less value to that stated on the Ticket.
Where a concession is claimed, proof of identity and concession entitlement (for example of age or student status) may be required.
Ownership or possession of a Ticket does not confer any rights (by implication or otherwise) on You to use, alter, copy or otherwise deal with any of the symbols, trade marks, logos and/or intellectual property appearing on the Ticket.
8. Changes to the events
The Promoter of the Event and/or the Venue reserves the right to make alterations to the published Event programme where reasonably necessary.
The Promoter reserves the right to:
- make reasonably necessary alterations to the advertised Event arrangements, featured participants or programme;
- cancel or abandon any Event without notice and without liability for compensation or damage other than up to a maximum of the Ticket price in accordance with clause 10 (Refunds/Exchanges) below; and/or
- restrict Ticket sales to a maximum number per person and/or household and cancel any Tickets purchased in excess of this.
9. Cancelled / rescheduled events
Events are sometimes re-scheduled or cancelled completely. Where an Event is cancelled or re-scheduled and We have been informed of such changes, We will take reasonable steps to notify You using the details You provided Us with at the time of ordering. However, it is Your responsibility to ascertain whether an Event has been cancelled or re-scheduled and the date and time of any re-scheduled Event. We do not guarantee that You will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the Event.
10. Refunds / exchanges
All Tickets purchased through Sky Tickets are final. Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase unless the performance is cancelled or rescheduled (subject to below) or where there is a material change to the programme of Event. Where an Event is cancelled or rescheduled (subject to below) by the Venue or Promoter or where there is a material change to the programme of the Event, You will be entitled to claim a refund from the Promoter or Venue (as applicable) in accordance with this clause.
A 'material' change is a change which, in the Promoter's reasonable opinion, makes the Event materially different to the Event that purchasers of the Ticket, taken generally, could reasonably expect.
Where an outdoor Event is cancelled or curtailed because of adverse weather, We shall not be liable to make any refund or pay any compensation beyond the refunds that may be payable under the Venue's or Promoter's rules.
Where a refund is sought You must bring this to Our attention as soon as possible upon becoming aware of such change, cancellation or where the Event has been rescheduled, prior to the rescheduled Event.
If an Event is cancelled, Ticket holders will be offered seats at any re-scheduled Event (subject to availability) up to the face value of the Tickets or, if the Ticket holders are unable to attend the re-scheduled Event or the Event is not rescheduled, a refund.
For some rescheduled Events, the Tickets issued with the original event date will be valid and no further action is required. For other Events, the original Tickets need to be returned to Us (via Royal Mail special delivery or any other secure courier service) so that they can be exchanged. We will get in touch with You if this is the case.
To be entitled to a refund You must return (via Royal Mail special delivery or any other secure courier service) the original Tickets to Us within the time frame communicated to You by Us. Refunds shall only be made to the person who purchased the Tickets and, when possible, be made using the same method as was used to purchase the Tickets except, at Our discretion, where payment was made by cash.
The refund for Tickets shall be the face value price paid or, if the face value has been reduced by the Promoter, the discounted face value price paid.
These Terms do not and shall not affect Your statutory rights as a consumer. For further information about Your statutory rights contact Citizens Advice or the department for Business Innovation and Skills.
Our sole obligation to You is to facilitate your purchase of Tickets through Sky Tickets. Personal arrangements including travel, accommodation or hospitality relating to the Event which have been arranged by You are at Your own risk. Liability for the cancellation or rescheduling of an Event, or for material changes to an Event, will be limited to the refund as set forth in clause 10 (Refunds/Exchanges).
Neither We nor the Venue nor the Promoter will be responsible for any loss, theft or damage of Your personal belongings or Tickets, other than caused as a result of Our negligence.
We shall not have any further liability beyond the face value of the Tickets purchased plus the relevant per Ticket administrative charge. We shall not be liable for any loss of enjoyment or wasted expenditure. Nothing in these Terms seeks to exclude Our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or other type of liability which cannot by law be excluded or limited. Without prejudice to the foregoing, we exclude to the maximum extent permitted by law any liability for any loss, injury or damage, howsoever caused, to any Entry Pass Holders or their property.
DISCLAIMER: Due to the fact that We are merely a marketplace for the Tickets and the fact that We cannot control the acts or omissions of third parties, to the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranty, and specifically disclaim any liability, for any goods or services provided by third parties which are incidental to, ancillary to or consequent on your use of Sky Tickets. Further, You agree to that You have no claim against Us for the actions or failure, whether negligent or intentional, of any Promoter or Venue.
12. Use of details and data protection
13. Resale / use of tickets
Unless You have the written permission of the Promoter or Venue, You may not re-sell, transfer or combine (or seek to re-sell, transfer or combine) Tickets for commercial gain or profit.
A Ticket shall not be used for advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes unless You have the written permission of the Promoter.
A breach of this condition will entitle Us to seize or cancel Your Tickets without refund.
14. Void tickets
Any Ticket obtained in breach of these Terms shall be void and all, rights conferred or evidenced by such Ticket shall be void. Any person seeking to use such a void Ticket in order to gain or provide entry to an Event may be considered to be a trespasser and may be liable to be ejected and liable to legal action.
We reserve the right to cancel bookings which We reasonably suspect to have been made fraudulently.
15. Restrictions on the purchase of tickets
Tickets may be restricted to a maximum number. Any such restriction shall be notified to You at the time You book the Tickets. We reserve the right to cancel Tickets purchased in excess of this number and without Our agreement, without prior notice unless the purchase of an excess was due to Our error.
You must be over 18 years old and legally resident in the United Kingdom to buy Tickets through Sky Tickets and must also comply with any age restrictions which apply at the Venue.
16. Conditions of admission
The management of the Venue also reserves the right to refuse Ticket holders admission to the Venue in reasonable circumstances including for health and safety, licensing reasons or where a Ticket is void.
The management of the Venue also reserves the right to request that Ticket holders leave the Venue at any point on reasonable grounds and may take any appropriate action to enforce this right. By way of example, the Venue may remove a Ticket holder who:
- has behaved in the Venue in a manner which, in the reasonable opinion of the Venue has, or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other visitors; or
- uses threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour or in any way provokes or behaves in a manner which may provoke a breach of the peace; or
- in the reasonable opinion of the Venue is acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs; or
- fails, when required, to produce proof of identity or age.
You must comply with instructions and directions given by Venue staff and stewards.
No refunds will be given to Ticket holders who are refused entry or ejected due to their own behaviour as suggested in, but not limited to, the examples above.
17. Restrictions and prohibitions
The use of equipment for recording or transmitting (by digital or other means) any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data inside any Venue is strictly forbidden. Unauthorised recordings in any form may be confiscated and destroyed. Any recording made of an Event in breach of these conditions shall belong to the Promoter. The Promoter and Venue will not be liable for any loss, theft or damage to confiscated items.
By attending an Event, Ticket holders consent to photographing, filming and sound recording of themselves as members of the audience. The Promoter may use such photographs, films and recordings (including any copies) without payment.
Ticket holders shall not bring into the Venue or display or distribute (whether for free or not) at the Event any sponsorship, promotional or marketing materials.
Where required by the Venue, mobile telephones and messaging equipment must be switched off during the Event.
Alcohol may only be consumed in public bars and other authorised areas. Smoking is not permitted unless within a designated smoking area (if any).
- animals (with the exception of guide dogs);
- laser pens;
- Your own food and drink (unless permitted by the Venue);
- bottles, cans or glass containers (unless permitted by the Venue);
- any item which may be interpreted as a potential weapon including sharp or pointed objects (e.g. knives); and
- illegal substances.
The management of the Venue reserves the right to conduct security searches from time to time and confiscate any item which, in the reasonable opinion of the management of the Venue, may cause danger or disruption to other members of the audience or the Event or is one of the items not permitted in the Venue as listed above.
Every effort shall be made to admit latecomers to events at a suitable break in the Event, which may be the interval, but late admission cannot be guaranteed.
Ticket holders may only leave and re-enter the Venue during an Event at the discretion of the management of the Venue. Otherwise, there will be no re-admission or pass-outs of any kind.
The obstruction of gangways, access-ways, exits, entrances or staircases, congregating in non designated areas or seeking entry to stands or seats for which You do not hold a Ticket is strictly forbidden.
18. Health and safety
Ticket holders must comply with all relevant statutes, safety announcements and Venue regulations whilst attending the Event.
If Ticket holders have any special requirements or concerns about any special effects which may be featured at the Event, prior notice should be provided when ordering Tickets. Special effects may include, without limitation, sound, audio visual, pyrotechnic effects or lighting effects.
If We delay or fail to enforce any of these Terms it shall not mean that We have waived Our right to do so.
We shall be entitled to assign any of Our rights and obligations under these Terms provided that Your rights are not adversely affected. We will always notify you in writing or by posting on our site if this happens.
If it is found by a Court that any of these Terms for any reason cannot be enforced, this shall not prevent the other provisions from continuing to apply.
22. Third parties
Any person, other than the Venue or Promoter, not a party to these Terms shall have no rights under the Contracts (rights of Third parties) act 1999 to enforce any term of these Terms. The Act can give rights under some contracts to third parties who are not parties to those contracts but in this case only We, the Venue, the Promoter and You have rights and obligations under this contract.
23. Force majeure
For the purposes of these Terms, “Force Majeure” means any cause beyond Our control including, without limitation, act of god, war, insurrection, riot, civil disturbances, acts of terrorism, fire, explosion, flood, theft of essential equipment, malicious damage, strike, lock out, weather, third party injunction, national defence requirements, acts or regulations of national or local governments. We will not be liable to You for failure to perform any obligation under these Terms to the extent that the failure is caused by Force Majeure.
24. Amendments and variations
We intend to rely on the written terms set out here in this document as well as the written terms and conditions of the Venue and the Promoter. You should read the Terms carefully before entering into the contract to ensure that they contain everything that You consider has been agreed. If they do not then You should speak to any member of staff. After the contract has been made, these Terms cannot be varied or amended in any respect unless both You and We agree in writing. Every time You order Tickets from Us, the Terms in force at that time will apply to any contract for the purchase of Tickets.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we do revise these Terms:
- We'll notify You by posting the amended Terms on the Sky Site and changing the "Last Updated" date of the top of the Terms;
- In some cases, where we reasonably consider it to be appropriate, We may provide You with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending You an email notification).
- Any changes will be effective upon the posting of the revised version of the Terms on Sky Tickets (or such later date as may be indicated at the top of the revised Terms).
- You shall be free to decide whether to accept the Terms or stop using Sky Tickets. You continued use of Sky Tickets constitutes Your acceptance of such changes.
25. No partnership or agency
Nothing in these Terms and no action taken by You or Us under these Terms shall create, or be deemed to create, a partnership, joint venture or establish a relationship of principal and agent or any other relationship between You and Us beyond the relationship created under these Terms.

If You have an account with Us, you can raise a query with us by signing in to "My Account". To track the status of any existing query, go to the My Queries tab on the My Account page.
We know that sometimes things go wrong and you may want to make a complaint. If this happens we'll do our best to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. If you'd like to make a complaint contact us via a secure message on the Sky Tickets website. Click 'Contact Us' and fill in the form marking the reason as 'Make a Complaint'. 28. Governing law and jurisdiction
Relevant United Kingdom law will apply to these Terms and the relevant courts of the United Kingdom will have jurisdiction.
